Applications (±)-1'-(2-Aminoethyl)-3',4'-dihydro-7'-methoxy-spiro[cyclopentane-1,2'(1'H)-naphthalen]-1'-ol is an intermediate in the synthesis of rac-14-epi-Dextromethorphan (D299440), which is an analog of Dextromethorphan (D299445) which is an antitussive compound showing analgesic properties. Dextromethorphan is used in cough medication formulations.
