CAS:<p>Pyridine-2,5-diol is a bacterial metabolite that is the product of the enzyme pyridoxal 5'-phosphate oxidase. This enzyme has been shown to be involved in microbial metabolism and enzymatic reactions, such as the conversion of picolinic acid to pyridine-2,5-diol. Pyridine-2,5-diol has been found to be expressed in wild type strains but not in mutant strains.
