Teriparatida

Descrição:
Teriparatida é uma forma sintética do hormônio paratireoideano (PTH) usada principalmente no tratamento da osteoporose. É caracterizada pela sua capacidade de estimular a formação óssea, o que a torna distinta de outros tratamentos para osteoporose que se concentram principalmente na inibição da reabsorção óssea. Teriparatida é administrado por injeção subcutânea e geralmente é prescrito para pacientes com alto risco de fraturas. A substância é composta pelos primeiros 34 aminoácidos da PTH humana, que são cruciais para sua atividade biológica. Seu mecanismo de ação envolve a ligação aos receptores de PTH nos osteoblastos, promovendo o crescimento ósseo e aumentando a absorção de cálcio nos intestinos e rins.
