NAD, ou nicotinamida adenina dinucleotídeo, é uma coenzima crucial encontrada em todas as células vivas, desempenhando um papel vital nos processos metabólicos. Existe em duas formas: oxidada (NAD+) e reduzida (NADH). NAD+ é essencial para reações redox, facilitando a transferência de elétrons na respiração celular e na produção de energia.
