It has been used to synthesize a number of other organic compounds. 1-Bromocyclohexanecarboxylic acid also reacts with metal salt to form phosphine, which can be used as a reducing agent in organic reactions. The conformation and reactivity of 1-bromocyclohexane can be predicted using theory and calculations. Hydrocarbon groups are added by diisocyanate, which react with hydrocarbon catalytically to produce benzene.
