Descrição:
Ácido fórmico, com o número CAS 64-18-6, é o ácido carboxílico mais simples, caracterizado pela sua fórmula molecular HCOOH. É um líquido incolor e pungente que é altamente solúvel em água, álcool e éter. Ácido fórmico tem um ponto de ebulição de aproximadamente 100 graus Celsius e um ponto de fusão em torno de 8 graus Celsius. É conhecido por suas fortes propriedades ácidas, com um valor de pKa de cerca de 3,75, tornando-se um ácido fraco.
