(-)-Cloridrato de tetraciclina é um antibiótico de amplo espectro pertencente à classe das tetraciclinas, utilizado principalmente para tratar várias infecções bacterianas. É caracterizado por sua complexa estrutura policíclica, que inclui quatro anéis fundidos, contribuindo para sua capacidade de inibir a síntese de proteínas nas bactérias ao se ligar à subunidade ribossomal 30S. (-)-Cloridrato de tetraciclina exibe uma cor amarela a laranja e é sensível à luz, o que pode levar à degradação.
