Polissiloxanos, di-Me, Me hidrogênio, comumente referido como dimetilhidrogensiloxano, é um tipo de polímero de silicone caracterizado por sua estrutura única de siloxano, que consiste em átomos alternados de silício e oxigênio. Este composto geralmente apresenta grupos dimetila (–Si(CH3)2) e átomos de hidrogênio ligados ao silício, contribuindo para sua versatilidade em várias aplicações. A presença de hidrogênio na estrutura permite reações de entrecruzamento, tornando-o útil na formulação de elastômeros de silicone e selantes. Os polisiloxanos exibem excelente estabilidade térmica, resistência química e baixa tensão superficial, o que melhora seu desempenho em revestimentos, adesivos e produtos de cuidados pessoais. Além disso, são conhecidos por sua baixa toxicidade e biocompatibilidade, tornando-os adequados para aplicações médicas. As propriedades do material podem ser ajustadas alterando o peso molecular e a proporção de grupos dimetila para hidrogênio, permitindo uma ampla gama de características físicas e funcionalidades. No geral, os polisiloxanos são valorizados por sua flexibilidade, durabilidade e resistência a fatores ambientais.
