Cloridrato de cimetidina é um antagonista do receptor H2 de histamina usado principalmente para reduzir a produção de ácido estomacal, sendo eficaz no tratamento de condições como úlceras pépticas, doença do refluxo gastroesofágico (DRGE) e síndrome de Zollinger-Ellison. É um pó cristalino branco a off-white que é solúvel em água e ligeiramente solúvel em álcool.
