CAS:N,N'-Ethylenebis(iodoacetamide) is a molecule that binds to peptides and is used in cancer research. It has been shown to inhibit the growth of leukemia cells by inhibiting the synthesis of DNA. N,N'-Ethylenebis(iodoacetamide) has been shown to be an active analog for artemisinin, a drug used for malaria prophylaxis, and podophyllotoxin, a natural product used for the treatment of cancer. The molecule also inhibits cancer cell proliferation through its effects on protein synthesis.
