Descrição:
Ácido 4-(2-hidroxietil)-1-piperazinaetanosulfônico, comumente conhecido como HEPES, é um agente tampão zwitteriônico amplamente utilizado em pesquisas biológicas e bioquímicas. Tem um valor de pKa em torno de 7,5, tornando-o particularmente eficaz para manter o pH fisiológico em culturas celulares e ensaios bioquímicos. HEPES é solúvel em água e exibe boa estabilidade em condições fisiológicas, o que é crucial para experimentos que requerem níveis de pH consistentes.
