Descrição:
Tântalo é um metal raro, duro, de cor azul-acizentada que é altamente resistente à corrosão e possui um alto ponto de fusão, tornando-o valioso em várias aplicações industriais. Pertence ao grupo 5 da tabela periódica e é classificado como um metal de transição. Tântalo é conhecido por sua excelente condutividade e é frequentemente utilizado na produção de capacitores e resistores de alta potência, particularmente na indústria eletrônica. Sua resistência ao ataque químico permite que seja utilizado em ambientes que corroeriam outros metais, como em equipamentos de processamento químico e implantes cirúrgicos. Tântalo também é biocompatível, o que o torna adequado para aplicações médicas.
