Cloreto de alumínio, com o número CAS 7446-70-0, é um composto inorgânico composto de alumínio e cloro. Normalmente aparece como um sólido branco ou amarelado, e é altamente higroscópico, o que significa que absorve facilmente a umidade do ar. Este composto é conhecido por sua capacidade de formar complexos e é frequentemente utilizado como um ácido de Lewis em várias reações químicas, particularmente na síntese orgânica e na catálise. Cloreto de alumínio pode existir em várias formas, incluindo estados anidros e hidratados, sendo a forma anidra mais reativa.
