Abarelix is a lipoprotein that is used in the treatment of prostate cancer. Abarelix also binds to synthetic polymers, such as polyvinyl alcohol, which may be used for diagnostic purposes. Abarelix has been shown to have anticancer effects with a low toxicity profile in both animal and human trials.
