CAS:Produto ControladoFluocinolone acetonide is a corticosteroid with anti-inflammatory, immunosuppressive, and anti-allergic effects. It is used to treat eye disorders such as uveitis and chronic iritis. The mechanism of action of fluocinolone acetonide is not completely understood. Fluocinolone acetonide has been shown to have a short-term effect on reducing inflammation in the eye, but its efficacy for long-term use is questionable. Low doses of fluocinolone acetonide may be less potent than higher doses because they do not bind well to the receptor sites in the retina. This means that low-dose fluocinolone acetonide may not have an adequate therapeutic effect on uveitis or other eye disorders.
