Applications (3-Hydroxytricyclo[3.3.1.13,7]dec-1-yl)carbamic Acid 1,1-Dimethylethyl Ester is an intermediate used in the synthesis of Hydroxy Vildagliptin (V305035), which is an impurity of Vildagliptin (V305000). Vildagliptin is a DPP-​4 enzyme inhibitor, has anti-oxidant properties and used as an apoptotic agent on pancreatic cancer . Vildagliptin is used to treat type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) and improve the endothelial function of patients.
