Applications Hexadecanoic Acid 2-Hydroxy-3-[(trimethylsilyl)oxy]propyl Ester is an intermediate in the synthesis of 1-Palmitoyl-2-oleoyl-3-stearoyl-rac-glycerol (P162100). 1-Palmitoyl-2-oleoyl-3-stearoyl-rac-glycerol is the major triacid triglyceride found in cocoa butter and is used in the improvement of chocolate.
