4-Bromo-N-(2,3-dihydro-6-methoxy-1,3-dimethyl-2-oxo-1H-benzimidazol-5-yl)-2-methylbenzenesulfonamide (4BrMBS) is a tyrosine kinase inhibitor that targets the epidermal growth factor receptor. It has been shown to have high cytotoxicity against cancer cells and good anti inflammatory properties. 4BrMBS inhibits the proliferation of tumor cells by interfering with the epidermal growth factor receptor. It also acts as an anti inflammatory agent by inhibiting the production of proinflammatory cytokines such as IL1β, IL6, and TNFα.
