The drug also has been shown to activate progenitor cells and stimulate lymphocyte surface receptors, leading to improved prognosis for cancer patients. N-Methyl-4-(methylamino)picolinamide has been used in cancer diagnosis as well as a treatment for pancreatic tissues, blood pressure, and chronic diseases such as diabetes.
