4-Methoxybenzene-1,3-diamine sulfate (4MBD) is a chemical substance that inhibits the activity of cytochrome P450 enzymes. When 4MBD is administered to rats at dietary concentrations, it causes an increase in thyroid hormone levels and a decrease in renal function.
