It is too useful for mineral processing, fertilizer manufacturing, petroleum purification, wastewater processing, and chemical synthesis. The catalytic decomposition of sulfuric acid on mixed Cr/Fe oxide, shows a useful application in sulfur-iodine cycle for hydrogen production.
