Reagecon Total Acid Number (TAN) Standard 4.9 mg/g Potassium Hydroxide (KOH) is a high quality standard that can be used to calibrate; control or validate the methodology or equipment used to perform TAN testing according to ASTM Method D664.
- Produced in accordance with ASTM D664.
- The TAN test method D664 is used to indicate relative changes that occur in oil during use under oxidising conditions regardless of the colour or other properties of the oil.
- The test method D664 is also used as a guide in quality control of lubricating oil formulations or as a measure of lubricant degradation.
