Sodium 1-naphthaleneacetic acid is also used to study protein structure and enzyme activities. It has significant cytotoxicity, which can be determined by fluorescence spectrometry. This chemical compound has been shown to have optimum concentrations at 0.1 M and 2 mM when used with a fluorescence detector. Sodium 1-naphthaleneacetic acid can be used as a chemical pesticide in the treatment of agricultural products or as a preservative, fungicide, or bactericide in food production.
