N,N,2-Trimethylquinolin-6-amine (TQA) is a molecule that can be used in analytical methods. It has a linear range of 0.5 to 2 μM and can be used as an indicator for temperature monitoring. TQA is also a fluorophore with a transition at 310 nm. TQA can interact with cellular structures when it is in the presence of water and has been studied for its interactions with proteins and nucleic acids. In addition, TQA can be used to monitor polarities by observing fluorescence intensity changes in response to pH changes.
