Descrição:2-Phenoxyethyl isobutyrate is a synthetic ester with a basic structure. It is an effective solvent for pharmaceuticals, and it is used in the formulation of microcapsules to improve the stability of compounds. 2-Phenoxyethyl Isobutyrate has been shown to cause air entrainment in diethyl succinate, cationic surfactant, glycol ether and detergent compositions. It also has a carbonyl group that reacts with phosphotungstic acid to produce a red dye with an absorption maximum at 595 nm. 2-Phenoxyethyl Isobutyrate has fatty acid groups that make it soluble in organic solvents such as chloroform and acetone.
