Descrição:Pyridaphenthion is a chemical pesticide that is used for the control of insects. It has been shown to synergize with chlorantraniliprole in the treatment of fruit fly larvae and pupae. Pyridaphenthion also has a high resistance to human serum, which may be due to its inhibition of acetylcholinesterase. This insecticide also inhibits protein synthesis, leading to death by blocking the production of proteins vital for cell division. Pyridaphenthion is toxic to some insects because it inhibits fatty acid metabolism and alters the composition of fatty acids in their exoskeleton.
