2,4,5-Trichlorophenol Sodium Salt is a hydrogen bond acceptor and donor that has been shown to be effective in the treatment of wastewater. This compound is also a genotoxic agent that can cause oxidative stress and DNA damage. 2,4,5-Trichlorophenol Sodium Salt induces enzymes such as cytochrome P450s and glutathione reductase. It also inhibits the growth of bacteria by interacting with copper ions. The synergistic effect between this compound and p-hydroxybenzoic acid has been investigated. The biochemistry properties of 2,4,5-Trichlorophenol Sodium Salt are not well understood but it has been shown to have antimicrobial effects against some bacteria when used at optimum concentrations.
