6,11-Dihydroquinoxalino[2,3-b]quinoxaline is a cross-linking agent that can be used in the production of dyestuffs. It is soluble in polyvinyl chloride and polyvinyl acetate and has a melting point of about 130°C. This compound is practically insoluble in water and is found as a residue on polyvinyl chloride after cross-linking. The compound has been shown to be photopolymerizable with an electron beam, which allows for the production of various types of polymers. 6,11-Dihydroquinoxalino[2,3-b]quinoxaline has also been shown to have antioxidant properties due to its ability to reduce nitro groups.
