Informação sobre produto
6β-Hydroxy-11-deoxycortisol is a microbial metabolite that is produced by the metabolism of deoxycortisol. It has not been found in any animal tissues, but has been detected in the environment. 6β-Hydroxy-11-deoxycortisol is a substrate for microbial transformation and may be used as a marker for microbial metabolism. The 6β-hydroxylation of 11-deoxycortisol has been observed in rat adrenal tissue and the conversion of 11β to 6β hydroxylation has been observed in human placenta tissue. Perfusions of rat adrenal glands with corticosterone have also shown 6β hydroxylation. The spectral data obtained from this metabolite are consistent with previous observations made on other metabolites of cortisol, such as 17α,21-dihydroxyprogesterone and progesterone.
