Descrição:Tetrapropoxymethane is an organic solvent that is used as a cross-linking agent in the production of polycarboxylic acid-based polymers. Tetrapropoxymethane reacts with malic acid to form a microcapsule, which can be used for controlled release of drugs. Tetrapropoxymethane also has been shown to increase the rate of polymerization by acting as a polymerization initiator and is used as a low-energy monomer to synthesize acrylonitrile.
