Descrição:Dioctanoylglycerol (DAG) is a nonpolar organic solvent that is used in the food industry as an emulsifier and stabilizer. DAG has been shown to have growth-promoting properties. It also plays a role in cellular signaling by inducing the production of epidermal growth factor and fatty acids. DAG has been shown to inhibit the activity of tyrosinase, which is an enzyme involved in melanin production. The inhibition of this enzyme may provide an effective treatment for hyperpigmentation disorders such as melasma or chloasma. In addition, DAG inhibits apoptosis and cell death, which may be due to its ability to inhibit particle formation on the cell surface.
