Descrição:Hexyl formate is a colorless liquid with a pleasant odor. It has a boiling point of 79-82°C and a melting point of -125°C. Hexyl formate is soluble in water, methanol, acetone, and ethanol. It is insoluble in ether and hexane. Hexyl formate can be used as an extraction solvent for film-forming polymers and hydrocarbons. Hexyl formate is also used to prepare samples for analysis by gas chromatography (GC) or liquid chromatography (LC). This product can be found in food products such as dairy products, chocolate, baked goods, ice cream, cheese sauce, processed fruit juices or drinks, liquefied eggs or ices, and salad dressings.
