Vinyl Palmitate is a molecule that has the chemical formula of CH2=CHCOOC(CH3)2COOC2H5. It is an ester formed by the acylation reaction between vinyl and palmitic acid. Vinyl Palmitate is a reactive molecule that can be used as an antioxidant for polyvinyl. The molecule also has hydroxyl group and lipase activity, which allows it to react with fatty acids. This product can be used in the production of polycarboxylic acid as well as metal hydroxides.
