Descrição:
1-Cyclohexyl-3-phenyl-2-thiourea is an isothiocyanate with significant activity against mammalian cells. It has been shown to inhibit the enzyme amine oxidase in mammalian cells, and was used as a reagent to study the nature of several amines. 1-Cyclohexyl-3-phenyl-2-thiourea has been shown to have antimalarial activity in vitro and the mechanism of action may be due to its ability to inhibit the production of reactive oxygen species. This compound also has aliphatic properties, making it thermally stable and providing a high yield under optimised conditions.
