Descrição:2-Cyclopentylethanol is a type of organic compound that belongs to the class of ethyl esters. It has been shown to have receptor activity, which may be related to its ability to reduce plasma glucose levels in type 2 diabetes patients. The mechanism by which 2-cyclopentylethanol affects glucose metabolism is not clear, but it has been found to inhibit serine protease and sulfonic acid-induced platelet aggregation.
