Descrição:Loflucarban is a drug that belongs to the group of anti-infective agents. It has been shown to have a profile that is similar to fluoroquinolones, with activity against gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria. Loflucarban inhibits microbial growth by binding to the bacterial ribosome and preventing protein synthesis. This antibiotic also has an ophthalmic formulation for the treatment of eye infections. Loflucarban is not active against fungi or viruses. Loflucarban can be used in bowel disease, such as inflammatory bowel disease, but it does not have any effect on occlusive ileitis or choroidal neovascularization.
