It is a polar molecule with a high degree of hydrogen peroxide solubility and an excellent ability to form emulsions. CHMA can be used as a solvent for organic reactions, such as the production of esters, ethers, and amines. It has been shown to have anti-inflammatory properties by inhibiting the release of inflammatory mediators from mast cells.
