2-(4-Chlorophenyl)propanoic acid is a chiral compound that can be used as a chiral selector. Countercurrent chromatography was used to investigate the enantiomer properties of 2-(4-chlorophenyl)propanoic acid. The compound is not suitable for the separation of β-cyclodextrin or other cyclodextrins due to its hydrophobic nature.
