2-(Aminomethyl)-1,3-thiazole-4-carboxylic acid is an antimicrobial that belongs to the group of aminocoumarins. It inhibits bacterial growth by inhibiting microbial enzymes such as genetic and structural synthesis. 2-(Aminomethyl)-1,3-thiazole-4-carboxylic acid has been shown to inhibit the production of enterobacteriaceae and other bacteria strains.
