Benzene-1,3,5-triyltris(phenylmethanone) is a trimerized benzene derivative that is used as a solvent in organic chemistry. It is an organic compound that is used to catalyze the trimerization of benzene. This process can also be accomplished by heating it with phenylethynyl or ketones. The environment has been shown to affect this process, as the temperature and pressure of the environment have an effect on the reaction rate. Benzene-1,3,5-triyltris(phenylmethanone) has been shown to be capable of trimerizing at temperatures up to 130°C and pressures up to 30 atmospheres.
