Descrição:UNC 569 is a potential anti-platelet agent that has been shown to inhibit the proliferation of human microglia cells. It binds to an inhibitory death receptor protein, DR5, and blocks the signaling pathway for apoptosis. UNC 569 also inhibits the production of platelets by binding to the alpha-granules in megakaryocytes. The efficacy of UNC 569 as an anti-infective agent is not yet known.
