Ro-31-7549 monohydrate is a nucleotide analog with an antiviral activity. It inhibits the transcriptional and translational activities of RNA polymerase and other enzymes involved in DNA synthesis. Ro-31-7549 monohydrate has been shown to inhibit the mitochondrial membrane potential, which can lead to apoptosis. This drug also interacts with toll-like receptor (TLR) signaling pathways and inflammatory diseases, such as Crohn's disease, ulcerative colitis, and asthma.
