Descrição:4-CMTB is a mitochondrial biogenesis regulator that is structurally related to the receptor molecule that binds and activates the peroxisome proliferator-activated receptor alpha (PPARα). This small molecule increases metabolic activity, including fatty acid oxidation. It has been shown to be effective in increasing insulin sensitivity and improving glucose control in humans. 4-CMTB may also have an inhibitory effect on adipose tissue differentiation. The energy metabolism of this compound is not well understood, but it has been shown to have a hydrogen bond with fatty acids and can increase the production of fatty acids from dietary sources.
