- Sancycline Hydrochloride
Sancycline hydrochloride is an antimicrobial agent that belongs to the group of trifluoromethanesulfonic acid. It is used in pharmaceutical preparations and has been shown to be reactive with tissue culture. Sancycline hydrochloride can react with hydrogen in aqueous solutions, forming alkylsulfonyl radicals. These radicals are capable of attacking nucleophiles such as thiols or amines, leading to the formation of sulfoxides or sulfones. The photochemical properties of sancycline hydrochloride have also been studied and it has been found that it reacts with tetracycline, a related antibiotic.
