Trietazine is a herbicide that inhibits the growth of plants by inhibiting the synthesis of fatty acids. It has been shown to be effective on a number of different types of weeds, including those with high levels of resistance to other herbicides. Trietazine can also inhibit nitrification in acidic environments. The mechanism of trietazine is not fully understood, but it may involve an interaction with the template molecule or a chemical reaction that creates fluorine ions.
