Informação sobre produto
N-Acetyl-D-cysteine is a thiol compound that has been shown to have both apoptotic and anti-apoptotic effects. It binds to the serum alanine and dinucleotide phosphate to prevent the formation of reactive oxygen species (ROS). NAC also prevents acetaminophen-induced hepatotoxicity, neuronal death, and hiv infection by preventing depletion of glutathione. NAC has also been shown to decrease aminotransferase activity and protein synthesis in wild-type mice given bolus doses. It has been reported that NAC decreases radiation injury in Sprague Dawley rats by preventing oxidative damage to DNA and proteins.
