Descrição:Potassium iodo(4-methylbenzenesulfonyl)azanide is a reagent that is used in organic synthesis. It is an alkyne aziridination agent that reacts with copper and hydrazine to form the corresponding hydrazone. The reaction can be carried out at room temperature and yields high yields. This compound has been used to synthesize sulfites, thiosulphates, xanthates, diazo compounds, chloramine-T, and thiourea. Potassium iodo(4-methylbenzenesulfonyl)azanide can also be used as a chloramine-T reagent for the titration of sulphite extractives.
