Descrição:5,6-Dimethoxynicotinic acid is a chemical compound that has been shown to inhibit tumor cell growth by inhibiting the synthesis of DNA and RNA. 5,6-Dimethoxynicotinic acid also inhibits the activity of promyelocytic leukemia (PML) protein in human lung cells. This drug has shown anti-tumor efficacy in xenograft mouse models, where it was able to inhibit tumor growth and prolong survival in mice with acute promyelocytic leukemia. 5,6-Dimethoxynicotinic acid is also being investigated as a potential chemotherapeutic agent in clinical trials.
