Descrição:4E1RCAt is a small molecule inhibitor of the mcl-1 protein that has been shown to inhibit cancer cell growth in vitro and in vivo. 4E1RCAt inhibits the mitochondrial membrane potential, which leads to apoptosis by activation of an energy-dependent pathway. The compound also inhibits protein synthesis in cells by binding to the polymerase chain reaction enzyme and blocking transcription. 4E1RCAt has been shown to have anti-inflammatory properties, which may be due to its ability to inhibit growth factor activity.
