Eniporide is a drug that belongs to the class of pyrazole-containing drugs. It is used in vivo to treat cardiac disorders, such as congestive heart failure and myocardial infarction. Eniporide blocks the influx of calcium ions into cardiac muscle cells, which can lead to a decrease in intracellular calcium levels and an increase in the amount of ATP available for energy production. Eniporide also has anti-inflammatory properties that may be due to its inhibition of fatty acid synthesis. The basic structure of eniporide is similar to that of creatine kinase, a protein involved in energy metabolism.
